In certain cases, it becomes necessary to allow some customers to submit pre-orders while requiring others to approve them. Within the customer group, individuals can have the roles of employees or managers.
Using this tool, you can
enable employee pre-order submission and manager order approval.
Once a customer is assigned to a group and a role (e.g., employees can only place pre-orders without modifying their statuses, whereas managers can change order statuses), customers with the employee role can begin submitting pre-orders.
Offer managers front or back end pre-order process with Manager Order Approval
module. After a pre-order is submitted, customers with the manager role within the same customer group can log into their accounts from either the front end or back end to view and process the pre-order.
Enable managers to change pre-order statuses using Manager Order Approval
module. Initially, the status of a pre-order can be changed to "Awaiting Payment," followed by further changes to "Payment Successful.
As a result, the order type changes from a pre-order to a regular order, and it can be processed by an administrator in the back end, just like any other order. You can always
access order conversion reference with Manager Order Approval
module, as the converted order maintains a reference to its original pre-order, allowing for easy tracking and management.
