Managing Properties

In the ever-evolving world of e-commerce, managing your product properties efficiently is a must. In this blog post, we'll walk you through the process of handling product properties on your website, enabling you to provide customers with a seamless shopping experience and robust product information.

Step 1: Accessing the Admin Area

Begin by logging in to your website's admin area. This is where you have full control over your product properties, allowing you to tailor your offerings

to meet customer demands effectively.

Step 2: Navigating to Property Management

In the admin area, follow these steps to access the property management section:

  • Products/Catalogue: Click on the "Products/Catalogue" tab.
  • Properties: Next, select the "Properties" tab to explore your property management options.

Step 3: Creating and Editing Property Categories

Efficient property management starts with well-organized categories:

  • Add New Property Category: Create a new property category or edit an existing one.
  • Customize Category Names: When adding or editing a property category, you can set the category name, making it consistent across all languages or unique for each language. You can also provide an optional description for clarity.

Step 4: Setting Properties

Now, let's dive into the specifics of setting up your product properties:

  • Double-Click Property Category: To configure properties, double-click on the desired property category.
  • Manage Properties: Within the property category, you can insert new properties, edit, delete, or move existing ones to different property categories.

Step 5: Customizing Property Details

When adding or editing a property, you have a range of options to customize its behavior:

  • Language Customization: Choose whether the property should have the same name in all languages or a unique name for each language.
  • Property Type: Specify the type of property (text, number, number interval, yes/no, file).
  • Choice Options: Determine whether it's a single-choice or multiple-choice property.
  • Format: Choose the format (single line or multiple lines) for the property.
  • Filter By: Link the property to other properties for better product organization.
  • Display Mode: Decide where and how the property should appear, such as on the product info page, in filters, in search results, or in product listings (using checkboxes, radio buttons, or pull-down lists).
  • Additional Details: You can also set property icons, names, aliases (alternative names), SEO page names (URL extensions), colors, units, and provide optional property descriptions.

Step 6: Managing Property Values

To provide accurate product information, configure property values:

  • Property Value Details: Define property value names, aliases, SEO page names (URL extensions), maps, prefixes, postfixes, colors, and upload icons.
  • Editing and Deleting: You can easily edit existing property values, add new ones, or delete outdated values as needed.

By mastering property management, you can enhance your e-commerce website's functionality, making it easier for customers to find and understand your products. A well-organized and informative product catalog can boost customer satisfaction and drive sales. Start optimizing your property management today and provide your customers with an exceptional online shopping experience!
