Managing TNT Express Shipping
This user guide will walk you through the process of integrating your website with TNT Express and managing its services through the admin area. Follow the steps below to get started:
Step 1: Installation
- Login to your website's backend using your credentials. Navigate to the admin area to begin the setup process.
- In the admin area, locate and click on the "App Shop" and "Store" tabs.
- Using the search function, find the TNT Express Shipping module version 1.0.0. Once you locate it, click on the "Install" button to add it to your website.
4. Follow any on-screen prompts or instructions to complete the installation process.
Step 2: Customization
- After successful installation, go to the "Modules," "Shipping," and "Online" tabs in the admin area.
- Locate the TNT Express Shipping module and click on the “Edit” button to access the settings.
3. In the "Restrictions" section, customize TNT Express shipping according to your specific requirements. You can restrict TNT Express shipping to specific customer groups, countries, and website pages. Also, specify the shipping module name for both the backend and front end in your desired language. Additionally, you can enable tracking to provide better shipment visibility to your customers.
4. In the "Settings" section, configure the TNT shipping options. Enter your TNT username, password, account number, TNT account country (ISO2), TNT send-from country (ISO2), TNT send-from town, and post code.
5. Set up insurances and price margins to match your business needs. Use the corresponding fields to define the desired values in percentage (%).
6. Use package size correction option. Enter the correction value in the corresponding field before sending request to TNT (50-200%). Defaults to 100% if invalid.
7. Assign appropriate shipping tax classes to TNT Express shipping to ensure accurate tax calculations.
8. Select the desired shipping zones (All World, USA, EU) to which you want to offer TNT Express shipping from the drop-down lists.
Step 3: Manage Delivery Dates and Ownership Settings
- On the TNT Express Settings page, you can manage delivery dates and ownership settings. Choose between "Use Default" and "Use Ownership" options to enable preferred delivery date rules. Select the preferred day(s) of the week for deliveries and disable any unwanted days.
Step 4: Set Shipping Display Order
- To control the order in which shipping options are displayed during checkout, enter a value in the corresponding field. Lower values will prioritize TNT Express Shipping over other shipping methods.
