Managing Google Zones Shipping
This user guide will walk you through the process of installing the Google Zones Shipping module on your website and managing its settings through the admin area. To get started, follow these steps:
Step 1: Access the Admin Area
- Log in to the admin area of your website.
- Navigate to the "App Shop" and then click on the "Store" tab.
Step 2: Install the Google Zones Shipping Module
- Perform a quick search for the "Google Zones Shipping module version 1.0.0".
- Once found, install the module on your website.
- Follow any on-screen prompts or instructions to complete the installation process.
Step 3: Access and Edit Google Zones Shipping Settings
- After the installation, go to the "Modules," "Shipping," and "Online" tabs.
- Locate the "Google Zones" module and click on the "Edit" button to access its settings.
Step 4: Configure Restrictions
In the "Restrictions" section, you can customize Google Zones Shipping to suit your specific needs:
- Restrict Google Zones shipping to specific customer groups, countries, and website pages.
- Enable tracking to provide better shipment visibility to your customers.
- Specify the shipping module name for both the backend and frontend in your desired language.
Step 5: Configure Shipping Options
In the "Settings" section, configure the Google Zones Shipping options:
- Enable Google Zones shipping for your website.
- Set the handling fee and tax class by filling in the corresponding fields and choosing the required option from the drop-down list.
- Manage delivery dates and ownership settings for better control over shipments: Choose between "Use default" and "Use ownership" options for preferred delivery date rules. Disable required days by checking the box next to the preferred day(s) of the week.
- Set shipping priority to control the order in which shipping options are displayed during checkout: Enter a value in the corresponding field to set the shipping priority. Lower values will prioritize Google Zones Shipping over other shipping methods.
Also in the "Settings" section, the "Details" table provides information about the shipping and its price for different Google zones. The table displays the delivery status, name, and detailed information. You can specify the MID, value of the sort order, and price for each delivery. To add a record to the table, click on the + icon. To delete a record, click on the bin icon.
