BrokenWings Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 I have my store all set up, and what I am selling is downloadable products ex: Poser items. I have uploaded the zip files to the right directory. I am using only paypal as the payment. Okay..hang in there it's hard to explain what I need..lol.. Say they buy 2 products, they do the checkout & pay for it at paypal. How do they get their downloads? And how do I point each product at their own downloadable runtime. Ex: They bought two different products, Product Names: Baby Girl & Georgie Zip File names: bg.zip & georg.zip How do I get it so they get these files and not different ones? I don't see anywhere to point each product to it's download file, not even in Product Attributes, unless I am missing something. I hope you understand what I am asking! Kinda hard to explain. Thank you for your time. Beckie

Thank you for your time. Beckie I would start HERE The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
BrokenWings Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 I did that. I just don't understand how it is going to know which zip file goes to which product. Do I have to name the zip what the products name is? This is where I am confused.
OceanRanch Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 As Richard pointed out and the documentation he referred you to says. After the product is added go to the "Product Attributes" section under the "Catalog" heading in admin. Choose the product in the bottom "Product Attributes" box. When you choose a product and have download enabled in the configuration section you will see a box below the "Product Attributes" section where you can add the name of the product to download. Again make sure the pub directory has permissions of 777. Your zip file name can be different than your product name. HTH Tom
