price=0 everywhere except preview

Hi all,

 

OScommerce newbie I'm afraid, though so far I have managed to set up a nice looking custom store, using help from this forum and the KB.

 

However, I'm stuck now. Searched everywhere for an answer to the following problem, but to no avail.

 

Problem:: the price of any item in my store is 0 even though in the preview the price and price+tax is shown correctly.

 

Is there a simple answer???

 

For guidance, I have 'deleted' (through the gui) all the original database (the IT equipment store), the US and Euro currencies (setting GBP as default, value 1.000 and proper tax at 17.5% in the tax thing (followed at KB to set this one)). I have created four new categories (though there is still a 'top' category??) into which I have created two items in a category.

 

The price comes out as '0' on all pages, including the checkout.

A pretty common question in the forum.....and The_bears solution...hopefully.

 

Did you created a new default currency?

In the edit did you put 1.0000000 as the value and then click on update currencies button ?

and in the catalog/includes/languages/english.php around line 36

 

// if USE_DEFAULT_LANGUAGE_CURRENCY is true, use the following currency, instead of the applications default currency

 

define('LANGUAGE_CURRENCY', 'USD');

Change it to whatever you need
