razeray Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 Some friends of mine who are mac administrators recommended oscommerce for my mac osX server (panther, 10.3) and so far i'm really enjoying it. i have two questions that i'm posting separately. The first question is simple: I've created a new product category as well as placed 4 products in their. however, now that they are there, short of erasing and starting in the right order, is there a way to re-order them so they show up in the exact order i would like them to show up? thanks
241 Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 There should be an "order by" statement in the query the part after "order by" can be used to get the result that you are after. razeray Posted June 28, 2004 Author Posted June 28, 2004 i'm inside the categories/products area, i've switched to the category in question and can see the 4 products within it but can't seem to find that option. is that somethign i have to set in each individual product?
241 Posted June 28, 2004 Posted June 28, 2004 no it is in the php files an example would be the catalog/includes/boxes/categories.php this will contains a query for the categories wich has this code order by sort_order, cd.categories_name whereby the categories are sorted by firstly sort order then by categories name No longer giving free advice.
