larzeb Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 I'm a newbie trying to install osCommerce. I've installed it on a Linux RedHat system. I couldn't get the install to work through the web interface, so I installed it manuall: mysqladmin create osCommerce mysql osCommerce < ./install/oscommerce.sql There were no errors. I can verify the that the osCommerce tables were loaded: mysqlshow osCommerce However, when I type http://localhost/catalog, the browser substitutes http://localhost/catalog/install/index.php, the web installation procedure. How do I launch the catalog and why is the address being changed? TIA
AlanR Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Remove or change the name of the install folder. Local: Mac OS X 10.5.8 - Apache 2.2/php 5.3.0/MySQL 5.4.10 • Web Servers: Linux Tools: BBEdit, Coda, Versions (Subversion), Sequel Pro (db management)
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 you need to open your configure.php files and set them up properly, follow the installation procedures in knowledge base.
