xiaumiau Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 This is very strange to me: When I want to see my updated pages, nothing happens if I push refresh button on internet explorer. I have to go to internet options to delete all cookies and files to be able to see any changes I made to my website. What if viewers don't know about it and never get to see new products / info? Is there anyway to fix it? Thanks :)
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 how are your cookies being set via your configure.php? also, in admin how are they set, is it false or true? are you storing sessions in files or mysql?
vasttech Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Most likely you have your settings in IE set to never refresh the page from cache. Try changing it to Automatically or Every Time You Visit A Page. Most people by default have theirs set at either one of these so no need to worry. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
xiaumiau Posted June 27, 2004 Author Posted June 27, 2004 Thanks Mibble and vasttech  Are you talking about the "persistent connections" in configure.php? I had it set false; should I change it to true? I think I have sessions (don't really know what sessions are??) stored in mysql. Where can I change this setting on IE? Is it under internet options?
vasttech Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 No do not change the persistant connections setting. Your session setting should be mysql also. In IE go to Tools->Internet Option. Instead of hitting delete cookies/files click the settings button. This is most likely the problem you are having. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
