sapphire Posted June 27, 2004 Author Posted June 27, 2004 Hi I am having a look at the knowledge base thankyou searched for the error message I am getting and read the solution It looks like I need to cantact my Server knowledge bases says Solution The file permissions for the configuration file should be minimal for the web server to have read access only. For Unix based servers, file permissions 644 are generally sufficient but may allow other users on the same server to still read the file if the osCommerce installation is hosted on a shared server. This is considered a security risk as the database server parameters, including the username and password, are stored in the configuration file. It is recommended to correspond with the server administrator to make sure the configuration file permissions are set to the most minimum level possible. The file permissions can be changed on the server with the following command: thankyou booth for help Julie
