Assailant Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 Im using the backup feature in the control panel. I want to backup one of my sites, and another one of my sites and restore both of them to a new site, is it possible to combine the two databases? when I try it loses the other database only allowing me to restore one database, thanks!
vasttech Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 You can not restore both databases to the same location. Assuming that the cPanel backup created a SQL file you can, however, restore one then run the sql file of the other one against it through phpmyadmin. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
Guest Posted June 27, 2004 Posted June 27, 2004 the problem you will have with doing this, is the product id's and category id's some will be duplicated and you will cause all kinds of havoc, trying to tie things into the database properly.
Assailant Posted June 27, 2004 Author Posted June 27, 2004 thanks for your replies. man so theres no way to do this without messing anything up?
