Guest Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 Can anyone help me figure out how to change the pricing currency for all products in the db? I used the Swedish Kronor as the basis for all of our products and then set Swedish as both default language and currency and let the site convert from there...works great. I want to duplicate the site and dedicate it British market. No other languages or currency. But since all the products were input in Swedish currency, I can't get the pricing right now. How can I change the pricing of all my product pricing to the British Pound equivalent? Thanks Karaokedude
rcmdesign Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 osCommerce comes with a box to choose a currency in. It then converts all your prices into the desired currency. Go to the admin area and click on Localization and then currencies to add currencies to the site...
Guest Posted June 26, 2004 Posted June 26, 2004 I am aware of the currency options but it isn't helping my problem. Our current site features 4 different currencies. All are converted from Swedish Kronor to the others. The problem is that we are making a duplicate of the site and only want to use British pounds. Since our original prices were based on Swedish Kronor we need to be able to change these prices in the db to the British pound equivalent.... It's very confusing because we can't just make the British pound our new default.... it just gets all the prices wrong...
Yari Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi. Why not change the default currencie in the swedish shop to British pound and uppdate the currencies so the British pound will be the default. Then take a dump of your database and after you have upploaded the database dump for the British version you can just delete the other currencies and keep the default British pound. Remember to switch back to Swedish Crown as default again on your swedish shop.
