I already purchased on through Registerfly.com, but have NO idea how to set it up, and their help page is written for techies, not for end users. vasttech Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 Do you have a dedicated server or are you on a shared host? If you are on a shared host most likely you will have to have your host install it for you. It all depends on what level of access you have and if your host allows you to do it or not. It also depends on what type of web server you are using. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
Dmoore Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 If you are using another company to host for you (usualy non dedicated) you should have a control panel that has an area to enter SSL certificates at. Contact your host if you do not. If your using your own server there are numerous HOWTOs on the subject - here is one that may have some information for you SSL HOWTO
Mike_Jandreau Posted June 24, 2004 Author Posted June 24, 2004 It's a non-dedicated IP address. Which I'm working on making dedicated. My host is just a friend of mine, and he's baffled too. The company we bought it from gave us something about OpenSSL installation on the server, to run a SSL key command or somethin. I dunno. They haven't gotten back to me yet. Thanks for the help though. www.moviesnobs.net - Reel Reviews, Real Viewers
