Help! product_id conditional HTML needed

I have a client that has a bunch of "hookboards" (things you hang your keys on, post notes on etc), and she has several different color schemes for them. On the options I have each color listed in the dropdown box but there's no way to put an image in there. I was thinking that you could place some code in the /products_info.php file that would conditionally pull up some HTML (with images for the color schemes) based on weather or not the hookboards product_id was selected from the db.

Any tips on how to do this? I took a look at the product_info.php file but I don't know the syntax to write the code.. kind of a noob in need.
