extremewill Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 I've been using Paypal & the Paypal module for some time now & its been great... The last few orders that have used Paypal have been passed through & funds etc paid, but the orders have not been completed within my site & the products are still shown within the customers basket. Any ideas anyone? Thanks Quote
Mark Evans Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 This is a common problem with customers not returning from paypal. Use either 1. IPN 2. JohnnyVegas Posted June 24, 2004 Posted June 24, 2004 With Auto return where do you point the customer exactly? Quote
Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Posted June 30, 2004 Great! I was having this same problem with my orders not being processed (even though I had received the money) and this is the answer! I am currently enabling "auto return" in my PayPal preferences so that this problem will be eliminated. The only hassle is that I have to create a new html page (per PayPal's requirements) to return customers to that will show the required text (Example: Thank you for your payment. Your transaction has been completed, and a receipt for your purchase has been emailed to you. You may log into your account at https://www.paypal.com to view details of this transaction.) Thanks again for the help! :D Quote
Guest Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 This is a common problem with customers not returning from paypal. Use either 1. IPN 2. Auto return Could you, perhaps, be a little more specific? To *where* should PayPal return after processing the payment? Is there an OSC page that will complete the purchase and finally put the order in the database? I've had customers make purchases and the only indication I have that they made one is the PayPal transaction. I've no clue as to what they purchased. I have Auto-return enabled. The best place I could see to return to was checkout_process.php. I read as much documentation as I could find, but have found OSC's PayPal interface is really not documented. Unless I'm blind. Quote
sandralk Posted July 4, 2004 Posted July 4, 2004 you should set your auto return to your checkout_success page. hth Quote
