adrian_s Posted June 23, 2004 Posted June 23, 2004 I'd like to have a look at integrating the login systems for OSC and a good CMS, possibly Typo3. Does anybody have any ideas on which CMS to choose, and how best to go about it? I'm thinking maybe it would have to be a case of changing OSC to use the username and password fields belonging to the chosen CMS. I couldn't find a previous post asking quite the same thing but there's enough in the archives to tell me that something like this would be well received if it could be accomplished. If anyone has any advice or thoughts that might stop me heading off down a blind alley, I would greatly appreciate them :) Adrian
kimslilypad Posted July 20, 2004 Posted July 20, 2004 The way I understand this, it is much more complicated than it seems. I am using Xoops for CMS which has the option to include OSC as a module but they have yet to integrate the user databases. And there has been much, much, much discussion about it.
adrian_s Posted July 21, 2004 Author Posted July 21, 2004 Yes, since first posting on this one the best thing I've found is probably Mamcom (www.mamcom.org), which basically is an adaptation of osCommerce as a Mambo CMS module. It works (sort of) in its current Alpha form, but I gather it is now in doubt as to whether it will ever be completed. User databases are integrated, though, which is brilliant. Not much help if you're happy with Xoops though... Adrian

IMO its a limited version of the full OSC... a simple bridge would be great where when a user registers on mambo their data is intered into the osc database.
