Shared Secure Server

With my hosting account I have access to a secure server, which is shared between lots of other accounts as a cheaper way of havig a secure server, i.e.

https://www.asecureserver.com/myaccount/ etc.

Do I need to install (is it possible?) osCommerce on the secure server as well?

Is it going to be easier/is it neccessary to buy my own secure server?

What I require is oscommerce to dump all the order details on the secure server as a text file. I don't want all the orders dumped in any kind of database really, as I don't want the company which I am working for to have access to the oscommerce admin.

Thanks for the support

I'd also like to know if anyone can point me to details of how to install a .htaccess file to protect the admin directory.

I have the same problem with shared SSL, I'll let you know if I find a solution. Shouldnt have to upload any OSC files to the SSL space but I'm getting CGI bin errors at the moment when I try and checkout. I can see that the session id is being passed to the SSL.

You can set up .htaccess easily, just do a search for .htaccess, it uses a .htpasswd file as well. Easier on unix/linux with shell access but can be done on windows boxes as well.

Got the .htaccess sorted. Surprised at how easy that was. Still need to find a solution to shared SSL though.
