I am just wondering, what unit of measure does oscommerce use for shipping weight calculations? If I enter 2.5 does that mean 2 and a half pounds, 2 and a half ounces, 2 and a half kilos?

Just curious becuase some of the contribs that use shipping weight dont seem to always function properly.

It MS-2 there is no defenition of weight unit so its what ever unit you want :)

In CVS there is a weight class implementation which converts between weight units.

So how can we accurately set up the shipping modules if there is no unit of measure in the ms2.2 version?

How does the default UPS module determine shipping cost? I thought it's based on item weights.

But if it's on weights, is it in lb. or kg. ??
