shayrgob Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 I'm on figure 3 on this page http://www.oscommerce.info/kb/16 where you must enter all your information to login. The thing is I dont know what to put in for each of the fields. I dont know how to make a database, and i dont know the username and password for any database. Is there anyway I can get a database onto my site and get a username and password for it? Thanks
vasttech Posted June 20, 2004 Posted June 20, 2004 You will need to talk to your host about setting up a mySQL database and getting the userid and password. Typically you can do this through your hosts control panel. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
shayrgob Posted June 20, 2004 Author Posted June 20, 2004 I figured out how to create a database through my control panel and i created a username for it(also through control panel) but it didnt require a password. It just said create xxxuser at xxxdatabse and i hit the "create" button and the username was made. I have no clue what the password is.

Your control panel almost certainly allows you to go back and edit user parameters, username and password.
