A quick search with google would have given the website by the way, search is an underestimated tool :D No longer giving free advice. Please place deposit in meter slot provided. Indeed, it supposes that you know that you need a web server to run a web site!! Antonios
detsouvalas Posted June 21, 2004 Posted June 21, 2004 I know I need a web srver but I would like to set it up on my computer and run it from there till I understand everything. Is this possible and if so how or where can I go to find out? Yes! 1) Install one by one Apache, PHP, MySQL, phpMyAdmin ... in my opinion not very difficult to do, but maybe not the best choice to start! 2) Install EasyPHP (www.easyphp.org), like instructed a few messages before: you get a fully functional Apache web server with PHP, MySQL and phpMyAdmin for local testing, 3) Install Xampp (www.xampp.org), you get like above, plus a email server and some other goodies! Personally I think that easyphp is a good choice, that's why I use it! :-) Antonios
