pacosvillage
As a newcomer to OSC I think I've got down config'ing the php pages. But, let me ask about setting up the html pages. I use both Dreamweaver and NetObject Fusion to setup the html of my websites. Does any exeperienced OSC user use an html editor to setup the page content? What I'd like to do, and need an anwer on each step from a willing user (no read forums newbiew, or other feedback like that-I won't apologize for being a newbie): 1. Do a "get" (berings my html pages into my editor) of my osc html pages into either Dreamweaver or other html wsywig. 2. I arrange my headers, imagery, text, backgrounds, etc. 3. Then do a "put" (publsih to my server) back into my catalogue files on my server. Is this possible, and any document done by one of you in the past that could be my primer. I'm an elementary school teach and am trying to setup a store for my school supplies for parents to buy from.- So I'm definitely not very technical but very capable with a willing hand of support from a few folks. :)
vasttech
OSC does not have any HTML pages. Everything is pretty much written in PHP. There are some lines of code that are HTML, but they are there for formating purposes. All the content itself is controlled through php files. To learn how to edit the content see the follow: Documentation Knowledge Base If there is particular page that you would like to edit content for, try searching the forum for the answer. I know you do not want to hear that, but make the search your best friend. You will learn a whole lot more. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
