Where can I find the index.html content

I'm real new and green (not a techy, but familiar enough to do the work if I am pointed in the right manner) to OSC and want to change the header image from the OSCommerce gif to mine, and want to change the copyright at bottom to mine on all of my store pages, but can't find the index.html page in the file manager. In a kind but detailed way how does one go about editing the html in the store, and what should I do to change the footer copyright info once so that it is spread once across all pages? B)

there is no index.html page, they are php pages.

most items dealing with text, etc are in the includes/languages/english and lower, some deal with the exact name of the file you are dealing with in the front end, others will be in the english.php file.

it would do you worthwhile to look at php.net and see how php works, as well as download phpedit (search in your favorite search engine for that).

also the most important thing, is read through the knowledge base. lots of the questions, including these, are answered there.

To edit your header image includes/header.php

to edit your footer text includes/langues/english.php (very bottom)

Don't let php to scare you too much. If you're familiar with HTML and aren't skeered to learn, you'll start to get php as well. It's just hard getting used to 'referenced' codes rather than straight forward coding.
