Shared SSL, Images and CSS

Hi all, first post on here but I've read many, most helpful, but now I would like to confirm a few things.

Firstly my plan doesn't come with a 'Shared SSL', I have a reseller account at reseller-center (excellent btw) and have set up a kind of 'home grown' SSL which I have used for javascript carts and has bee perfectly adequate, but last week I loaded OSCommerce (most impressed) and started experimenting with that, ok background in place onto the juicy bits.

I loaded the software. At this point there was no SSL involved, everything worked fine. I then started to set up the ssl, I loaded the cataloge directory in it's entirety onto the shared ssl (locked.rozegarden.net) and set to configuring the config file (funnily enough) on the main site. After that I couldn't get the style sheet to appear in the ssl site, or the images. I fully expected the cat images not to show, but did expect the button images to work. I know, I've made a b*lls-up of the config file, which I'm sure if I sat with for long enough and use this site I could fix, but I would like to know if there is any point, the cart images are always going to upload into the none secure area so unless I upload them in 2 places the 2 sites will never match, or I will never have that all important padlock.

So simply put, can I do this without having to upload catalog imgaeson to the ssl site?

If I do double up do I need to set both configuration files to the same, one on each site?

Can England win the Eurocup?

Sorry it got very longwinded didn't it. If you can pick the questions out of that I will be very interested in your reply

thanks

David

Very fast reply, thanks.

I don't really want to concern you will anything that deep until I know whether I'm going to need to put all the images of the products onto both the http and the https site. If I have to do that then I think my 'shared SSL' idea is unacceptabe, who wants to load an image and then manually copy it accross to the https site each time.

I can't see a way round it myself, everytime one of the secured checkout pages loads an image from the unsecured site I'm going to get a broken padlock arn't I?

Thanks for the help but I won't bel be posting my config until later if needed as if I put the whole oscommerce site on a Secure server everything works great, just rying to use the shared SSL to keep down costs

Much appreciated

David
