database structure

Hi,

I have the task of importing a database of products (brake parts, catalytic converters, mufflers, exhaust pipes, brackets, etc.) into osCommerce.

I am having problems matching the structure of the database to how osCommerce is setup. The parts attributes are spread across many different tables linking together with a common application number, while in osCommerce, all the products are lumped together in one table, with an id number linking them to their separate categories.

Is there a way to change the field names and bring in my database with minimum hassle?

Any help on this topic is appreciated.

Thanks

This really needs to be done manually and is likely to have a big effect on both the database and the php code which extracts and inserts the data.
