ipodskins Posted June 16, 2004 Share Posted June 16, 2004 hi i was wondering if therem was a way to get oscommerce to email me when my stock is low so i know when to reorder a certain product! ive noticed there is a stock reorder level in the settings, any idea on hw to set it to send me automatic emails! vasttech Posted June 16, 2004 Share Posted June 16, 2004 There is not a way by default, and I am not sure there is a contribution to do this. Would be an excellent one though. You could create a function in checkout_success.php that checked the inventory level after each order and if below a certain level it e-mails you letting you know. Or much easier way would be to set up a cron job that ran a sql file against the database at the end of each day to check stock levels and then e-mailed you a list of items that are out of stock or close to it.
