damo2576
Hi, I've spent the last week or two getting a test version of my shop up any running, I'm very pleased with osCommerce, its been relatively painless. The next stage of my development is to implement Protx Form payment. The thing that confuses me is whether I need, or should have https for this. I'm not sure how it all works and hangs together. Does the payment module go through Protxs https server for instance? Also where do I get a SSL cert from? How do I get HTTPS? My host can't help - they dont do it so it looks like I'll have to move. Any help would be appreciated, even if you can point me in the direction some reading material I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance, Damain
Acheron
If your host doesn't provide SSL, you definitely need a new host. Anytime a customer submits personal or payment info, SSL should be used. SSL certs can be gotten from a number of places. For display purposes, I like Comodo. Very nice cert display w/o the customer having to leave your page. There are tons of others though.
