GForce Automotive - Online Store

Well I've finally got most everything fixed an customized, aside from a couple of things which you're probably notice. In any case I wanted to get some outside opinions and make sure that it navigates well and no one can find any problems that need attention.

I appreciate the help and any feedback!

Good work Adam. Your site is clean with some nice design elements (one of the better logos I've seen in awhile). Nothing serious, but I have a couple of suggestions:

1. Increase the font size of the links in your banner (just one or two points).

2. Increase the size of your Buy Now buttons. Think of the button as an advertisement and draw attention to it. It's not only a functional button, but an enticement - Buy Now! Buy Now!

I will definately take #2 into consideration. :D

The first one I'm kinda partial to my 8pt Silkscreen pixel font ;) But I might be able to find a similar font that's a little bigger.

Well unless you plan to purchase all the items from you shop yourself, you should listen to others input. You may really like one thing, but if it makes it hard for others to use your store then you WILL be stuck with all the products in the end.

No need to be rude. Did I not say I was going to look into some other fonts? In any case it would be no harder to use than the rest of the site which is in 10pt Verdana....8pt SilkScreen (which is all capital letters) is barely smaller. At 1024 x 768 the most commonly used screen resolution it's no smaller than the text I'm typing in this box right now.

I appreciate negative feedback, but you don't need to come across like that either. ;)

I agree with the banner font. It needs to be a tad biger. The way it is, doesn't seem to match the rest of your site. So with that said, either make the font size in the banner bigger or make the font of the rest of your site smaller.

Just my 2 cents. :D

Bad link: http://www.gforceauto.com//customers/

The button contrast color yellow works very well. I'm not sure I agree with the need to make them bigger, although it is a very interesting issue. At work we have been debating size and also whether a more tactile "3d" button is more "enjoyable" to click than flat. Even if flat is more stylish.

Good clean look.

Both the Tech Notes and HP & Torque boxes were done using the "Add New Field" contribution. Although, I changed some things to work with the BTS. I'll post a list of contributions I used as soon as I'm completely finished. :D

Nice design, but I agree with the comments about the font size for links in the banner being too small. I'm using 800x600 resolution and it really strained my eyes to read them.

Nice site. I like how you changed it from the normal OSC-format. That HP/torque box and the tech notes is different. Good feature which I haven't seen on many automotive websites.

But from what I've seen from being in the same industry and checking out all the OSC automotive sites getting ideas from mine...you are definately in the top 5.

And yeah you really need to consider the other's suggestion when it comes to design. I know most of our customers have younger eyes and seeing 8pt font is not going to be a problem...but what about...

Parents of these up n coming 16-17 car enthusiasts, grandparents of theirs looking for a gift they've been *hinted* about for x-mas, etc.

Keep that in mind.
