customer lost password. doesnt get email either

the password is encrypted, if the customer can not get email then if the customer places an order, no email will be received there either and what good does that do?

what happens if you send email from outside the store?

You can't get it from the db, or at least, you can't read it if you get it. It is encrypted, as it should be.

 

In the database, change his email address to one you have access to, have it send you the password (which is changed when you click the forgot password link), log into his account with your email address and new password, change the password, then change the email address back in the db.
