Jud
My site has been up and running for a good 3 months and we are doing quite well with it. I just need to know how you guys like or dislike the site. I don't want to be losing customers because of undiscovered flaws. Please be hard on my site, if you see something wrong, please tell me. my site is Judson.biz. ryanf
Well, you did a nice job of copying the bluenile site but thats ok, since everyone copies someone. Why do you have to be logged in to see the prices? Do you only sell to retailers? Do you have to be logged in to see the descriptions? I have a slight side scroll in my screen at 1024 x 800 resolution. Try to get rid of that since there is nothing over there. The site loads fast on a broad band which is good. I can't imagine clicking though 46 pages (earrings) to see them all. Get rid of that splash screen, its unnecessary. Not bad, I like it. Ryan If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature. mark27uk3
Hi Jud, Nice site, but your create account page is not using SSL, I personally would not register with your site purely because of this. I also have a slight side scroll in my screen at 1024 x 800 resolution. Get rid of the icons used in the top right of the main page as they dont seem to work well with the site. I agree with ryanf, get rid of the splash page and the 'prices for logged in users'. Regards Mark Lifes a bitch, then you marry one, then you die! Jud
Thanks for the replies guys, We only sell our items to retail stores, and I would take away the 'prices for logged in users' contrib, but I started getting complaints from my customers that anybody could see the prices without even having a business. About the icons at the top right, I am looking for a better way to display those, I thought that they would be unecessary, but I have learned never to underestimate the ignorance of people. You would not believe the calls that we get with people who just can't seem to find where to login. :-) Our next objective is to go through all of our categories and sort them to help our customers. I will be fixing the sidescroll today, I think that it is due to incorrect width of the buttons. Thank you for your suggestions Judson Stephenson
Jud
UPDATE: I have fixed the sidescroll issue, please don't stop giving feedback! ;-)
ryanf
Your buttons on top take up too much space and there is too much space wasted above them. Shrink them a little and move them up to take up that space and bring the rest of the page up more. Get rid of the splash screen, the redirect should be instant or move your catalog up to the main directory. If I was crafty, this would be a funny signature.
