richardsteve
How can I remove oscommerce's copyright? I read somewhere, in a file (and now I've totally lost where I read it) that I need to change the layout first, then I'll be able to remove it or create my own? But which file do I need to work with, and what exactly should I do? Also, in what ways should I change the layout? Removing and moving around boxes didn't seem to be enough. Totally stumped. Thanks. Guest
well, if you look in the file footer.php, in the catalog/includes/ directory, you will see a note there about the copyright. It says about removal and which cases you can you remove the copyright. I know also that you can modify the copyright text so it reads copyright 'your company' instead of copright 'osCommerce'. This is located in the catalog/includes/languages directory within the english.php file (or another language)...locate FOOTER_TEXT_BODY and there you'll find the text which makes up the copyright text which you see at the bottom of the page!! Hope this helps!!
