AXM
I searched around and couldn't find a post that answered this. I only found posts about people not resetting it. Ok here's my problem. I am working on a test MS2 site on my home apache server on Win XP. The cache feature (categories, manufacturers, also purchased) is not working. It never worked as a matter of fact. Even on a clean, brand new version of MS2 it isn't working. I did download a snapshot a couple days ago and that was working great. I'm jealous 0.075 - 0.090 parse times on the snap while i'm getting 0.200 - 0.225 on the index page. Just perplexes me that on a brand new MS2 its not working. I can understand if it doesn't work on my heavily tweaked and possibly problem filled "science project" version. It never shows a page in the Cache Control page on Admin like it does on the snapshot. And since its a brand new install of MS2 compared to a brand new snapshot...all the folder write settings should be the same. If anyone has any ideas or there was a minor fix that was posted before that I haven't see, please let me know. Thanks in advance. Guest
Thanks Emmett. I just found out that Cache only works when you have a Cookies set. Now I have to figure out why my cookies isn't work :-) But thanks. Sean - Never ending persue to learn code :-P I have the same problem I have set te cookies to true (just a few days ago just by chance). My caching was working, I deleted them using the Admin option "Cache Control" and since then they have never worked again it. I have modified the cart a fair bit but going back as much as possible I can't fine the problem, nor anything that would have affected the config in this way. Directory is correct, CHMOD is correct. I'm not getting any error mesages at all, it's got me buggered at the moment hope someone has been able to come up with the answer. Could it be some kind of server issue? Or even the owner of the directory? (I think at some stage I think I did delete this directory and the realised what and where it was also supposed to be). Any ideas please? user99999999
Hi, Cookies dont work if your using localhost. the domain needs to be something.something for cookies to work. The quick fix is to leave your domain name empty in config otherwise you could create a domain in your host file like localhost.dev. Also make sure you use the drive in your paths like c:/temp/.
