Colin
hey guys, I have a development store online. Currently, only the header and the main index page are completed. If you could, give me some ideas to keep it car-related but still retain some of the layout styles from the main index page.. I have a link to osC on the cart page, but a link to my website on the main index page. As it sits right now, the main index page uses some code from the specials box. I have yet to take code from a Featured Product contribution for that page. All links should be osC's tep so that sessions are retained. The only 'mod' to the cart as of right now is the BTS contribution. the link is: http://www.AutoGoodies.com/autogoodies Thanks, Colin

Guest
Hi, The first page of your site is good - your shop is just the stock layout (which is bad). You should make the whole thing look like your first page. You obviously have some html experence? I would sugest installing something like bts (or sts (i havn't used this so i cant recommend it)) Contribution. It is a template system that will make it very easy to implement your current design. Failing that at least dig in to the style sheet to make the color scheme match. From a functionality point of view... get rid of the language box - unless your going to use it ? get rid of all of the stock oscommerce images There is loads of stuff you can do to make it look more unique Good luck Sam
Colin
Thanks for the reply, Nimmit. I intend on modifying the layout significantly. Thanks for the ideas. You can see on Autogoodies.com that I've already modified it, but I want to get completely away from the out-of-the-box look. I was kinda wondering what people here think I should do. I have the BTS installed already and plan on somehow integrating the main index page with the site but can't decide on how to do it. ttyl, colin
Guest
Hi, The links near bottom does not show well on my screen(800x600). The last link "Empty Link" is on the next line. The table is not wide enough. Ccy
♥MYC267
I went to the first page and was impressed and was thinking it was going to be something different... Then I clicked ONLINE STORE.... ouch.... Also.. your motto... "We're Cheap, Save money with us".... I'd have another go. Dan
Colin
hey ModYourCar, Yeah.. I'm really looking for ideas on how to integrate my store into the front page layout. I do not want an osC look. As for the motto, it was a 15 minute 3am job ;) I'll be back in a couple of days with the integration completed. It's coming along well, I think.. late, colin
