vasttech Posted June 10, 2004 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Yes you can fully customize osCommerce. How much you want to customize is based on your knowledge of php though. There are contributions that allow you to make customizations with a HTML background. It all depends on what you are looking to do. As with anything there are limitations. However, the limitations of the templates can be overcome with knowledge of php. Either way I would highly recommend at least getting a php book to help you better understand how osc works. Download and install a test copy on your server or pc (you will need apache, mysql, and php installed - just search the forums for help on this). Look at all the files, look at the site, get an idea of how things interact and it all works. Read, read, read, and search the forums for answers to questions. If you can not find an answer do not hesitate to ask.
