There is a way to stream a clip (30 seconds) from the files that are under download folder? of course when i link to it it give me a restricted access request!! Guest Posted June 9, 2004 Share Posted June 9, 2004 I'm not saying there's no way to do it with oscommerce, but I think the best way to do something like this is to either have a front end secure media player to cut off the track after 30 seconds. or have a script to cut out a 30 second segment of the file and drop it into a temp directory for a short amount of time. I think the easiest thing to impliment is to just have a seperate sample file. Place it on the item's info page and not worry about securing it. Keep the full tracks protected. This is how I would do it. Just find a mp3 splitting program and make samples of all the tracks you offer. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The problem is that probably i'll have more than a thousand songs so create another sample clip could be expensive!! could you tell me a name of a good mp3 splitting program?
