Patch
Hey Guys, Having a slight problem setting up my SSL. I have a dedicated certificate and have setup my config files ok. If i click on 'my account' on the site, it says that any details will not be able to be seen by third party's or words to that effect, but anything i click after that the padlock flashes for a split second then dissapears. Is this a thing with IE6, that it tells you once then not again? Or is there somethign wrong? Thanks. Patch
vasttech
If you are on a secure page (for example creating an account or checkout) and the padlock is not there then the page is not secure. It means that there are items on the page that are insecure, most likely images. Check your image paths as they are probably http and not https. If this is the case you will need to check your configure.php file. osCommerce Knowledge Base osCommerce Documentation Contributions
Patch
Thanks, yeh that makes sense. my configure paths are http://www.mydomain.com for http, and https://www.mydomain.com for SSL. When i log onto my ftp it just lists my folders, there is no specific folder for https. Is there something i need to do to sort this, or is it a hosting issue? Many Thanks. Patch If you give us a url we can probably figure it out. Sometimes it's a server thing, sometimes you goofed and put mixed content on the page. trickdaddy1319
I am having similar problems. My site is: www.godlymatrix.com The checkout pages are using SSL right now, but for the life of me I can't find the non-secure elements. I used the little trick of changing all the default images to be clear so that they wouldn't show up, but when I choose to not display the "non secure" elements no box with a red x shows up so I guess that rules that out. I need help to figure out what is nonsecure. I have not made separate areas for secure and not secure files so maybe that is it? I do not know how to do that so please help me out. thanks.
