Guest
Hi Guys, Im hoping to set up oscommerce on a website im doing for a client. However with the host they aree using i need to pay a certain amount a year for certain mb usage of the database. What i need to know is, will 20mb mysql database be enough to run oscommerce well, with say 100 - 200 products? Cheers Chris
lostxpinoy
That's funky that they're charging you a certain amount based on sql mb usage. With every other host, the only thing they limit you on with mysql databases is how many you can have, not the size of them. But to answer your question, I have about well over 900 products and my DB under the back-up tool with oscommerce is a little under 2mb. So it should be fine, but I still think you should look into another host that doesn't charge for that.
bts1428
I use powweb.com and they charge me $7.77 including mysql. You should check it out..
