kevenmiles Posted June 6, 2004 Share Posted June 6, 2004 OK- I edited the file it says to edit, but the text doesn't change on the front page of my store. What am I doing wrong? Also, does anyone know if theres a way to make it so the pictures keep their proportions when they are resized? I read it somewhere, but I can't find it now, and if I remember right, I couldn't find the file you're supposed to edit anyway. Thanks in advance to whoever can help me out! kevenmiles Posted June 6, 2004 Author Share Posted June 6, 2004 just to follow up: i found one answer in the wiki site, which said that if you leave either the height or the width attribute blank in the admin setup, it would resize based only on the one filled in. bobthelucky Posted June 6, 2004 Share Posted June 6, 2004 to change text on fron page go to catalog/includes/languges/english(or what languge you are using)/index.php front page text is there,try to not delete any """ or''' if you do you mite get a parse error.be sure you have a copy of your entire catalog folder on your comp so if u mess a page up and dont know why u can replace that page with an "orginal" on images go into browser go to yourstore.com/osCmmerce/catalog/admin go into mystore ---images and you can play with stuff there,i find if i edit size of pics in adobe photo shop to 350 to 400 pixel size i get a pretty good pic also you can try one of the thumbnail contributions just check contribs for them hope this helps Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
