nixadm Posted June 5, 2004 Share Posted June 5, 2004 Hey all, I've got my store up and running pretty well, no products added yet. but I want to test some contribs/mods, so I am going to setup another store to use for these tests... I was going to just install it fresh, but I want to have all the mods/colors I have made already, so I decided to just upload the backup I have, but how do I make sure it uses a different database that way it's completly seperate. thanks (edit, I know I can configure which database to connect to via the config files but i'm not sure how to create a new database with phpmyadmin) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I just downloaded the entire directories, edited configure.php files to match new directory, created new directory, uploaded files, chmod'd.. went into phpmyadmin, exported database, opened in notepad, copied to clipboard, went to sql, pasted it in there and modified the "create name" and "use name" commands.
