UK Merchant Account Needed

Hi,

 

Does anyone know of a UK merchant account service that doesn't require a credit check? Basicly, a UK equivalent Of GOEMERCHANT.COM

can you be more specific? why don't you use worldpay if you dont have a credit score

Because worldpay has a service that transfers the funds 28 days after the original transaction, which will be an killer for the cashflow.

Try Paypal which allows transfer in 5/6 days and now accepts most cards or Nochex which seem to be acceptable.

 

For your own protection, I'd add a way of checking customer addresses or your very quickly get a lot of high spending customers from the usual suspects. We've had to turn down many GBP 1,000 - GBP 5,000 orders.

buy your stock on a business card(cc) which will give you XX days credit to help with cashflow.

I think there`s a module for bank transfer which could probaly be used safely in the UK. The best to use is Nochex as there are no chargebacks, so once you have their money, run like flook. Myself personally are going to request all orders over a certain amount to be via cheque or bank transfer, that way I can simply pay for the merchandise straight away.

 

Moneybookers was down this after for a while, which was very worrying with all of these small time payment options.

 

Worldpay is a killer just on charges alone, probaly better off just getting your own card machine and then using that.
