Guest
After an unusually busy few days, i have come accross a few problems. A customer without an account hit buy now and was taken to someone elses shopping cart which had some (4)items in it plus the buy now he did. When he went to checkout he managed to remove the other items and add his details to the shipping address. He phoned and alerted us to the problem and we manually took the order anyway. Earlier on someone phoned an order through as they could not remove 4 items from their shopping cart that they decided not to buy. They had origininally put them in their shopping cart. Possibly the items that the first guy removed. The day before we had a problem where the delivery screen came up as it would in a normal transaction, then when you went to carry on to the next screen it kept refreshing the delivery screen. These problems were alerted to me by telephone, so possibly quite a few instances that i do not know about. Anyone any ideas on how to solve this on a site that is very busy and generates some ?20k plus per week. I really need to solve these problems. Thanks in anticipation Paul
Chris Dunning
The first is almost definitely a sessions problem...but it's a bit over my head. Have a look at your settings and browse the forums a bit to look for some help. Hopefully someone with more knowledge will reply about it. The second problem - I came across this exact problem on a client's site. On that particular site, he did not charge a shipping fee. His problem was that he had enabled "free shipping" for orders over a certain dollar amount and had no shipping modules installed. When orders hit that level, the free shipping kicked in but it needed a shipping method to be selected in order to function properly. Disabling free shipping fixed the problem. Hope this helps!
