Link Product Vs. Duplicate Product (Help!)

Hi all,

 

I've created a site that has over 100 products for sale. I'd like to put each product in several categories and am using the 'copy to' and then 'Link Product' function to replicate each product in the required categories.

 

The issue i am having is when a product is in Category A and I link the same product to Category B. When I access the product info page coming from Category B it appears as though I have come from Category A in the breadcrumb path at the top of the page. This means the user is confused as to where to jump back to.

 

Using the 'Duplicate Product' is not as option as this will create 2 products and I want to continue to discount the number in stock each time the product is purchased.

 

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

My plan to bring my site live tomorrow is growing increasly unlikely! :unsure:
