I know there must be a way to do this, I just don't know it ... have searched and scoured, but no luck

When I load my page, the top main section loads OK (header) ... when its loading the remaining columns (left, right, index) the browser stalls and waits until all images are loaded then displays them all at once.

I have set Gzip to true and 1, no luck ... waits for ENTIRE page to load, before displaying ANYTHING

I have set Gzip to true and 8, no luck ... waits for ENTIRE page to load, before displaying ANYTHING

I have set Gzip to false, no luck ... but at least header loads before images are ready.

I need a way to load the entire site, then to load the images. This is seen in a few sites that have been described by others (e.g. www.bscexpress.com) ... you will notice that entire site loads, THEN images are loaded.

That's what I want

I have not yet loaded the faster loading contriubtion, but am waiting to see if there is another shortcut.

Not the complete loading solution, such that the main page will load, then the images come in ... however, to speed up a site, I would suggest doing the following:

1) Get the contribution on faster page loads and install it ... it works pretty well

2) OPTIMIZE YOUR DATABASE ... either through MySQL or whatever you use ... I use MySQL Control Center and it was a straightforward procedure ... use help in the program to find it

3) Optimize graphics ...

Apart from that ... I don't know that Gzip does anything (it seemed to slow down my page) and I wouldn't allow for compression on the contribution for faster page loads either ... just my opinion

Good luck
