frae
:( Please help, one of the idiots in the office did something to my site while I was out of town this weekend and now all people get when the look up the site online is this warning message. .... Warning: main(includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nevern2/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 29 Warning: main(includes/configure.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/nevern2/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 29 Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required 'includes/configure.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/nevern2/public_html/includes/application_top.php on line 29 I tried to restore the site to am earlier backup before he touched it, and even though it said it was successful, it still shows the warning when you search for the site and I cannot access the online catalog at all. If anyone can help me to figure out how to fix this before I loose to much business, I would greatly appreciate it.
yuharry00
Check if the configure.php file is there or not. If it is there, check the permission of the file. Make sure is readable by the Apache user. Hope that help.

Thanks again for everyones help. If you are just missing your configure.php file upload another one to your /includes folder with the correct settings and you should be fine. You should have a backup but if you do not you can get a clean one from by downloading osC from this site and just using the file you need. You will have to edit the settings manually but if that is all that is missing it could be a lot worse. You should always have a backup of your site on a local computer in case you have problems. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
