changing folder names for admin and catalog

I'm just about ready to go live. I want to rename the admin folder so it can't be easily accessed. Will I have to make alterations to paths in some files to make it work, or am I ok to just rename it.

 

Same for catalog, can I just rename the folder or are there paths I'll have to update (other than the link from the admin) and where can I find them.
