I have no idea how to rewrite anything and just want my site to be rid ofg default text www.Pattibears.com/oscommerce if that helps anyone see my problem I have been trying to read the forum and know I have not even seen some of these pages. I have aded products, and lost photos so am reloading my host is of no help and sent me here. patti :wacko:

Also when I tried to type it says not authorized no I need to check security items or something. Is there a step by step manual for peoplke like me who are in over their head? Does anyone out there do a baic set up of oscommerce for a reasonalbe price? I feel like I am getting nowhere and customers are not getting a good viewing of my catalog.
laurelbowen Posted January 18, 2006 Posted January 18, 2006 You should have a copy of all the OS Commerce files on your own hard drive. Open the files with Notepad (Microsoft) and edit them. Then use FTP software to upload the files to your Web site server. Then open the web page with your browser to see the changes you made. Always keep a backup copy of the OS Commerce files in a separate folder on your hard drive. That way if you make a mistake you can just replace the messed up file with the backup one and start over with your changes.
