CSS not working, and remove images from index?

I am using BTS and have designed a custom theme with it's own CSS, but for some reason the stylesheet that was working, went back to the default after adding some new products. Why is that? I see the link to the stylesheet in the head tag, but the CSS is not being found.

Also, is it possible to stop the "New Products" on the index page from updating? This is a new cart, so we're adding a few hundred products to get started, and we stopped because every product is being added to the index page!

Is there a way to stop this?

Thanks! (*My first OSC site, as you can tell*)

Hello there!

I'm not sure about the CSS issue; however, I do have a solution to the "MAX_DISPLAY_PRODUCTS_NEW" issue.

Navigate to the following option in your osCommerce ADMIN interface...

Admin >> Configuration >> Maximum Values >> New Products Listing

The value for the "New Products Listing" will limit the number of products displayed.

Good luck!

Oh Chosen One... You are wise and all knowing, and your instruction seems to be correct.

But I think I've got a broken cart :) Something is not right because that didn't work. I double checked the setting afterward, and it's set to 0 but I still see the same images. Any idea what might be screwing things up? I wonder if the above 2 problems are actually a result of some other problem...

Thank you, child of Shai'halud...

I believe you might have a web browser issue:

* Internet Explorer may be configured to "Check for newer versions of stored pages" with a value that prevents your changes from being viewed. Please navigate to the following Internet Explorer menu option: Tools >> Internet Options >> General >> Settings... After you navigate to the "Settings" menu, please temporarily change the setting to "Every visit to the page". Once you have modified and applied the setting, please exit all Internet Explorer windows and restart IE to connect to your site again.

NOTE: The above configuration will cause the browser to download all objects for all pages you visit, regardless of any files already stored in your "temporary internet files". The "Every visit to the page" option should be returned to it's prior value ("Automatically" recommended) to ensure that your browser does not attempt to download all objects.

Please let me know if this helps... If not, please contact me directly and I will do what I can to assist. Thanks.

In the worst case scenario, we can always disable the code that generates the "New Products" section! =)

Thanks for your help. I forgot to track this topic, and just found it tonite. I did get this to work finally, and just wanted to let you know. I've been so busy trying to figure out what's wrong with the payment module, that I forgot to return here and see what your response was. Again, thanks for all your help. Now, if I can just get the payments to work!... grunt/moan/hiss
