how to edit Manufacturers drop down menu

Hi Everybody , Where do I find the file were I can edit the Manufacturers drop down menu on the product listing pages. ?????

I think everyone would need a bit more information. Are you trying to edit the actual box itself, or the manufacturer's themselves. If your trying to edit the manufactureres it can be done from the Admin. Otherwise the code is located like this /catalog/includes/boxes/manufacturer_info.php and manufacturers.php.

i could do with some assistance with this, because as you can see the manufacturers box (or authors in my case) is too thin to show all of the authors name. i need to be able to show the full name but i dont want to fiddle with the width of the left column.

 

i was thinking of maybe a mouse over or something like that but have no idea how to implement anything like this? any ideas?

I need to change the word "manufacturer" to something else. Which file do I go to edit this.

Also, to change the rest of the categorie names..and to take away the "welcome guest...would u like to log yourself in..." line.
