Guest
I've tried this before by uploading the new 2.2 MS2 to a sub-domain; thinking I could make necessary changes and add modules while still have a working store. This was not the case as after the upload I lost all the graphics on the current store and the new upload was trying to use the current stores database etc. Long story short...Is there any successful way to upload 2.2 MS2 to a server (in which we do not own) while still having a previous version running whithout errors in order to update our site store without any downtime. Thank you in advance!

Thank you in advance! You should be able to load the store to a different folder without any trouble ie: /test. To access your test store you would go to www.yourdomain/test/index.php Create a new database for the test store and it should not access your old one at all. Installing it on a subdomain should also work. I would check your configure.php files to make sure that it is setup correctly to access a different database etc because if it is they should not interact at all. The Knowledge Base is a wonderful thing. Do you have a problem? Have you checked out Common Problems? There are many very useful osC Contributions Are you having trouble with a installed contribution? Have you checked out the support thread found Here BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!!! You did backup, right??
