DLMunson Posted May 31, 2004 Posted May 31, 2004 GunClocks I've went over the site multiple times, so I think there arent any errors, but I only have IE, so anyone with a different browser please let me know if there is any errors or placement looks screwy. Its my first OSCommerce site so let me know what you think of design. Thanks DLMunson
Destra Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 In information your disclaimer text (Gunclocks Powered by osCommerce) is in the middle of the information. I am assuming this is because it is part of the background image. The floating navigation bar is okay but when you scroll down it gets drowned out by the gun muzzle (I am not a fan of floating navigation menus personally). Maybe try using pictures instead or a different colour. Anyway interesting clocks.
Chance Posted June 1, 2004 Posted June 1, 2004 Not too shabby. I like the clean design. I am not really a fan of the floating menu either, but hey to each their own. I would probably add a little product description- the "stats" you have on the clock are nice, but your products could use a few well formed thoughts to describe their craftsmanship and style. The "subtotal" beside the item price is a bit confusing- most will think they have somehow added it to their cart already. I would just put "Price" or no description instead of a word that is associated with checkout and taxes. The "powered by osCommerce" text does get covered up on many pages- think about making it actual text at the bottom of your store instead of part of the bgimage. An example where this happens: https://secure49.nocdirect.com/~jguncloc/shipping.php My advice comes in two flavors- Pick the one that won't offend you. DLMunson Posted June 2, 2004 Author Posted June 2, 2004 alrighty, copyright fixed(i had used a div tag, just thrown in there cause i had yet to put in copyright, both osc and my own when i was about to post this topic) subtotal removed for (ea.) and a real description added to each product im still working on what to do with links, id like to not use pics, cause thats just more images to load, but i might not have a choice since some people might have hard time seeing it well many thanks on the changes to make, if anyone sees anything else that shouldnt be there please feel free to let me know
bluepony Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 You may want to stop some of your folders from being indexed. Try this for example: http://www.gunclocks.com/images/ I'd rather be flying!
