xuoaddict
Just a quick question. If I delete my shopping cart to start over, what issues will I have with the existing database. Can I use a back up data base from a different cart on the new cart. Will I have to put the product attributes in the new cart or will they transfer automatically. Is there any Doc on this that you may suggest I read? Thank you in Advance!! life is short "Eat Desert First"
KennethS
1) The cart should read the old database unless there are new values installed in it from the stock install. 2) If you go through the osCommerce installation again it will dump the old tables and add the new information automatically. 3) If you want to backup your database you can export the data into a file, then import it after your shop is up and running (Using something like phpMySQL). Hope this helps, Kenneth Kenneth S -------------- Customer "Are you a real programmer?" kkkqqq
3) If you want to backup your database you can export the data into a file, then import it after your shop is up and running (Using something like phpMySQL). I have export the product table to .CSV Excel file, I did some editing. Now I could not find where is the IMPORT function in the phpMyAdmin. I have been worked all night to figure it out. Please help.
KennethS
2nd tab from the left (at the top). Should have a place to type (For small importing), and a button to browse for the file to import. As for the whole Excel .CSV file...Im not even sure if phpMyAdmin supports that type, better try plain text. Hope this helps, Kenneth ZDP Media Group, Inc.
